Levanto Oy has acquired 100% shareholding in the Norwegian Constec Scan-Diamant A/S company.
In 2014 Levanto Oy acquired the Norwegian company Scan-Diamant A/S, as well as 60% of the shares of Constec A/S company. With the acquisition Constec owner of that time, Finn Sande, retired and his daughter May-Britt Sande continued in the company with a 40% stake. Scan-Diamant A/S and Constec A/S merged along the acquisitions and continued operating under the name Constec Scan-Diamant A/S.
In December 2016 Levanto Oy bought May-Britt Sande’s 40% stake and thus owns 100% of Constec Scan-Diamant A/S’s shares. The purchase is part of a strategy to further strengthen Levanto’s position in the stone and construction markets in the Nordics.
Levanto Oy’s head office and production are located in Kauniainen, Finland. In Sweden, a subsidiary Levanto Diamond Tools AB operates in Gothenburg and Stockholm. Constec Scan-Diamant A/S has offices in Oslo and Røros and Levanto Canada Inc., established in September 2016, operates in Quebec, Canada. In addition, Levanto is represented in Denmark by Diatool APS and in Russia by LDS Ltd.
In addition to its diamond tool manufacturing, Levanto imports and distributes the leading manufacturers of diamond tools and machines such as Shinhan, Shibuya, Tenax, KGS and ADI.
