Karhu series bits are made according to old Finnish recipes and processes that date back to the time when Levanto started making diamond core bits over 80 years ago. Levanto’s Karhu bit can be considered as one of the pioneers in diamond core drilling. It was among the first bits when the production of diamond core bits was industrialized.

Karhu bits are a safe choice for the Nordic rock where durable and reliable bits are required. The Nordic bedrock is one of the most demanding rock types in the world to drill in. The rock consists mostly of hard and abrasive granite. Karhu bits have originally been developed to these extremely demanding conditions. These circumstances have always made Karhu and is keeping Karhu as a favorite among Nordic drillers.

Karhu was at the forefront when the diamond core drilling started and is still one of the best bits on the market. Over time, the recipes have been improved and fine-tuned, so today Karhu has sharper claws than ever.
